We have been fortunate to have been entrusted with some wonderful cats over the years and are committed to ensuring that we serve the breed well in producing healthy kittens with lovely type and temperament.

We register our kittens with The Feline Association of NSW, a small, friendly and reputable affiliate of the Australian Cat Federation (ACF).

All our breeding cats are tested using Doppler scanning and DNA testing for the MyBPC gene for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, the major health issue facing this breed. They are also scanned for Polycystic Kidney Disease, rare in the breed but known to occur. Testing for Hip Dysplasia is also done at between 1-2 years of age. Decisions for our breeding program are made based on these tests. Our breeding cats all come from lines which have a history of scanning, longevity and long-term health.

The MyBPC gene is one of many possible genes contributing to HCM, and we hope to discover more about this gene over the next years. It is by no means conclusive evidence of any likelihood of HCM but a part of the puzzle and we hope our testing will contribute to this being solved.

Please see the About Us page for further information about testing and feel free to ask for any evidence of testing with our breeding cats. We are more than happy to discuss any issues regarding this with you.
